Unapologetic

Unapologetic is a multidisciplinary, literary, and cultural magazine that responds to the social issues and creative opportunities of contemporary Ireland, offering a reboot and upheaval. The magazine aims to capture a historical moment in the era of BLM, post marriage referendum , and repeal the 8th as we are now moving to a new definition of what it means to be Irish. The magazine aims to give people from minority and diverse backgrounds a space to be unapologetically themselves while simultaneously highlighting the social issues we experience in contemporary Ireland.

Channel

Deadline: 23rd July.

Submissions across all forms for Issue 9, due for publication in November 2023, are open. Channel’s aim is to provide a home for Irish and international writing that contributes to building rich, mutually sustaining relationships between human beings and the natural world. In all uses of the word, a “channel” exists to facilitate connection – to allow something, whether it be water, an electronic signal or a spirit, to pass through or towards something else. This journal exists to provide a passage through which ideas about human relationships with our environment, expressed and embodied in creative work, can flow.

Aimsir

Deadline: 24th July

Aimsir is interested in works of all genres, from nature writing to horror, as long as it relates to the theme of the issue you are submitting to. We currently accept work in English, Irish, Gàidhlig (Scots Gaelic) and Manx.
